It’s recently been said that the University of Colorado has dropped from the upper echelon of party schools. For those bemoaning that fall from grace, take solace in knowing that at least CU’s nerds know how to have a good time. Fine Flamenco Flair
A combination of musical influences from Gypsy, Jewish and Spanish cultures, the Flamenco is a wild, impassioned genre. Rene Heredia is widely considered royalty among Flamenco guitar enthusiasts. He was catapulted into the spotlight when world-renowned dancer Carman Amaya fell in love with his playing and immediately snapped him up to perform with her decades ago. A Reason To Drink
For more than 25 years, beer lovers the world over have descended upon the epicenter of the cause for three days to ply their wares and sample the best suds in what can only be called the Great American Beer Festival. A Take On Coltrane
A Love Supreme may be one of the most important works recorded by John Coltrane, if only for the legions of composers it inspired. Fighting Corporate Claws 30 Years Later
KBCO may not be the freewheelin,’ jocks-choice, radio utopia it was in the early ’80s—Clear Channel’s claws have seen to that.
