Editor’s Note: Tim Case is cruising east of the Mississippi during the Race Across America. This is a solo bike race that will have him cross the United States in about 10 days. He left Oceanside, Calif., June 8 and had completed 2,450.6 miles by 9:42 p.m. Tuesday, passing through Blanchester, Ohio, on his way to to Chillichothe, Ohio. His team checks in with us daily. Tim is riding for Team Strong Heart to raise money and awareness for Camp Odayin, which is dedicated to serving children with severe heart problems.
So yesterday was a hit for Tim having his parents show up in Effingham. He was really surprised. I know it gave him deep motivation, but more importantly calmed them of their fears of what may be going on. Tim’s parents are such amazing people, and to drive 4 hours just to see their son for 10 minutes shows their dedication to his dream. (more…)

He left Oceanside, Calif., Sunday morning and had completed 1,912 miles by 5:46 p.m. Sunday, passing through Jefferson City, Mo., on his way to to Marthasville, Mo., His team checks in with us daily. Tim is riding for Team Strong Heart to raise money and awareness for Camp Odayin, which is dedicated to serving children with severe heart problems.
Ok, so the truth is I don’t really know what day it is. Hehe…

His rested team was finally able to give a full update today. Tim is riding for Team Strong Heart to raise money and awareness for Camp Odayin, which is dedicated to serving children with severe heart problems.
Let me tell you, 36 hours straight turned into 48 hours straight of working beside Tim. I was a non-functioning human being, but now I have had 5 hours of sleep and a big cup of coffee. (more…)

He left Oceanside, Calif., Sunday morning and had completed 1311 miles by 9:15 a.m. Friday, passing through Elkhart, Okla., on his way to to Kansas. His team updated us briefly and hopes to check in later today. Tim is riding for Team Strong Heart to raise money and awareness for Camp Odayin, which is dedicated to serving children with severe heart problems.
Michelle checked in briefly with us today; we hope to catch her in a few hours. There had been some sort of communications snafu, which left her half of the support team following Tim for more than a day solid without sleep. (more…)
