New owners acquired Magnolia in September 2008, overhauling the decor, menu and overall atmosphere. Touting local ingredients, the menu includes seasonal American cuisine and…sushi? Not to worry: the vegetables are locally farmed, not the fish. While the “locally-inspired sushi” may be a contradiction in Colorado, no one is complaining at this popular spot. Magnolia offers beautiful views from the rooftop patio, original cocktails and amazing desserts. Open nightly from 5pm with happy hour starting at 4:30 Mon.-Fri. and live acoustic music on Saturdays.

RECIPE from the Magnolia kitchen:

Cranberry-Walnut Bread Pudding

8 cups Bread Cubes
1 cup Fresh Cranberries
1 cup Goat Cheese
3 Eggs
3 Egg Yolks
2 cups Half & Half
1 cup Chopped Walnuts
½ Sprig Rosemary – Finely Chopped
½ TBL Kosher Salt
½ TSP White Pepper
½ TSP Nutmeg
1) Mix all Ingredients; Except Bread
2) Add Bread & Soak for ½ Hour
3) Compress into Greased & Lined Half Pan
4) Bake at 350?F for 1 ½ Hours

We attended a private party of about 25 guests here last night, and I was so impressed! Great food, great service, a nice private room, and lots of vino! I LOVED my watermelon and feta salad; so unusual and delicious. And we ordered a bunch of desserts to share with our table, and every one of them was awesome. Definitely a place I'll be visiting again.
