FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance Premieres Light vs. The Dark April 3–5 at Dairy Arts Center

A Bold New Aerial Work Exploring a Timeless Struggle through a Contemporary Lens

Boulder, CO — April 2026 — Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance presents the world premiere of Light vs. The Dark, a gripping new aerial dance work running April 3–5, 2026, at the Gordon Gamm Theatre inside the Dairy Arts Center. Timely, visceral, and ultimately uplifting, the production reimagines the enduring struggle between light and darkness through a contemporary, hope-forward lens.

On a stage split in two like a living battleground, eight soaring performers harness aerial movement and grounded choreography to embody opposing forces in constant tension. Set to haunting cinematic scores from The Last of Us Part II and other iconic video games, Light vs. The Dark blends athleticism and storytelling into an immersive theatrical experience that speaks to resilience, transformation, and the human capacity for hope.

Created and performed by Boulder-based artist Valerie Morris, the work channels the emotional intensity of our current moment while offering audiences a sense of connection and renewal. The production’s evocative soundscape and stark visual design heighten the stakes of each movement, drawing viewers into a powerful exploration of conflict that neither shies away from darkness nor insists on the possibility of light.

Light vs. The Dark continues Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance’s tradition of pushing the boundaries of contemporary performance by merging aerial technique with bold narrative vision. Performances take place April 3–5, 2026, at the Gordon Gamm Theatre at the Dairy Arts Center, located at 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder.

For interviews with creator and performer Valerie Morris, complimentary tickets, or high-resolution images, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the company directly. Tickets and additional information are available through Frequent Flyers Aerial Dance and the Dairy Arts Center.
