MEDIA ADVISORY

The Passenger Train Conversation Continues: 20 Town Halls Down, 10 More to Go

Town Halls in July and August Continue Statewide Public Engagement on Colorado Connector

DENVER, CO – The Front Range Passenger Rail District (FRPRD) has scheduled 10 additional town hall-style listening sessions as an opportunity to hear from Coloradans about its draft Colorado Connector (CoCo) Service Delivery Plan, which details the District’s plan to deliver express intercity train service along the Front Range.

The District has already hosted 20 town hall events this year, with several attracting more than 200 attendees. Feedback from local governments, businesses, residents, and stakeholders helped to shape station locations, service plans, and long-term priorities. These town halls are part of a broader outreach effort designed to provide clear, factual information about the project and gather community input as planning advances. The fresh round of citizen engagement will inform the draft delivery plan before the FRPRD Board considers whether to refer it to voters as a ballot measure.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

Hear a brief overview of the proposed service

Ask questions directly to project officials

Share feedback and local priorities

All sessions are informational and reflect the District’s statutory responsibility to conduct transparent public engagement before any future decisions are considered. Residents and community members are encouraged to attend.

Town hall dates and locations are subject to change. The latest information can be found online at mobilize.us/ridethefrontrange.
