Editor’s Note: Press Releases are provided to Yellow Scene. In an effort to keep our community informed, we publish some press releases in whole.

Erie, CO – Local students have a unique opportunity to enhance their leadership skills, connect with peers, and experience an immersive leadership training program this summer—completely free of charge. The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and Young RYLA programs, sponsored by Rotary International, are now accepting applications for the 2025 sessions.

Young RYLA is open to current 7th graders, while RYLA is available to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Erie residents are eligible to apply regardless of where they attend school. The application deadline for both programs is March 31, 2025.

About RYLA and Young RYLA
For over 35 years, RYLA has been one of Rotary’s premier youth programs, offering an intensive five-day leadership conference designed to develop teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills. The program includes engaging activities such as group discussions, team-building exercises, guest speakers, and leadership challenges.

Young RYLA (7th Graders)

Students can apply online at www.rockymountainryla.org. Applications are accepted from February 15 through March 31.

Why Apply?
RYLA and Young RYLA are life-changing experiences that provide young people with the confidence, leadership skills, and networking opportunities to succeed in school and beyond. Each year, over 500 students across Colorado and Wyoming participate in the program, learning from expert speakers and engaging in hands-on leadership challenges.

For more information, visit www.rockymountainryla.org or contact your local Rotary Club.

About Rotary International
Rotary International is a global network of professionals and community leaders dedicated to humanitarian service, promoting high ethical standards, and fostering goodwill worldwide. The RYLA program is one of many initiatives supported by Rotary to develop leadership among young people.
