Editor’s Note: Press releases are provided to Yellow Scene Magazine. In an effort to keep our community informed, we publish some press releases in whole.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 2025

BOULDER, CO – Robin Lamberta Frank assumed her headship with Boulder Country Day School effective July 1, 2025. Following a comprehensive search process, Ms. Frank was selected for her deep and extensive experience in pedagogy, curricular design, and experiential learning.

Raised in Parker, Colorado, Frank has always held a deep appreciation for science and the educational power of nature having started her teaching journey as an Instructor and Program Director for the Catalina Marine Institute in California, as well as a Naturalist for Denali National Park.

Throughout her career, Frank has also successfully created systems that transform schools into vibrant, innovative spaces where every voice matters, and a sense of belonging is paramount. Her commitment to belonging aligns with and will further BCD’s unique community support model that creates the conditions necessary for every student to thrive. Community support at BCD includes a commitment to students, families, and educators and paves the way for a unified and more integrated approach to education. From academic support and counseling to health services and equity and identity, it ensures that each person knows they matter. Whether it’s a parent seeking clarity on how to support their child, a teacher needing professional development, or a student finding their voice and identity, this approach is designed to affirm that everyone has a place and is held with care.

“I was truly moved to see BCD’s core values in action; the curiosity, engagement, and joy radiating from everyone I met was palpable. From Preschool to 8th grade, the students’ questions and conversations clearly demonstrated that they feel authentically known, seen, valued, and loved,” Frank shares of her time on campus thus far.

Frank holds an M.A. in Educational Administration from California State University Northridge and a B.A. in Marine Science and Business Administration from the University of Miami. Most recently, Frank served as the Principal of the Elementary School at the esteemed Campbell Hall Episcopal School, located in Studio City, CA. During her tenure at Campbell Hall, she has also served as the Middle School Dean and Diversity Coordinator and has taught Middle School Science and Humanities. Prior to her time at Campbell Hall, Frank was the Associate Head of School and Upper School Director at St. Paul’s Academy in Bellingham, WA.

Boulder Country Day School, is a leading private school serving students 2 ½ years old – 8th grade. In partnership with our outstanding faculty and committed families, we uphold the highest standard for our balanced educational experience. Through small class sizes and innovative engagement in a supportive environment, students at BCD learn to explore their strengths and apply them to the world. Guided by our values, we believe the empowered minds that graduate from BCD will be the ones to ignite global change.
