BMoCA presents a site-generated performance work by movement artist Elle Hong and exhibiting artist Cipriano Ortega. A plague I call a heartbeat, explores themes of time, turmoil, and survival within the social worlds the artists inhabit separately and together. Audience members are invited to a karaoke/dance party following the artists’ performance.

In 2022, the museum launched a capital campaign to support a new flagship facility, tentatively scheduled to break ground in 2027 and open in 2030.
