On the Library Stage: Pity + Fear

27jun2:00 pm4:00 pmOn the Library Stage: Pity + Fear

Event Details

Pity+Fear is an intimate and comic exploration of queer identity, choice, and change – as Miriam grapples with Greek mythology, unexpected re-writes, and a demanding tape deck. This is not the same show we did in 2022. But it is.

Re-written and re-performed (different this time) by Miriam Suzanne, with original music by Teacup Gorilla. Thanks to the College Hill Library for inviting us to be part of their Pride month programming.

Join us for a fun one-show-only event at the Westminster College Hill Library on June 27 at 2:00pm. This show is 18+. Register here!

Grapefruit Lab

Together, we practice a more queer and humane future through hybrid performance. A laboratory for artistic exploration We are humans first, and art is essential to our humanity. We strive for a more just and humane world, embracing the queerness in human experience – where collaborative art is an ongoing practice of radical community and collective healing. Performance is an embodied process for imagining, exploring, and deepening our humanity. Grapefruit Lab is an old collaboration with a new name – bringing together the combined vision and multimedia experience of Julie Rada, Kenny Storms, and Miriam Suzanne. Yoko Ono’s quip that a grapefruit is the hybrid of a lemon and an orange encapsulates our goal of combining highly aesthetic, compelling artistic work with a process of creating alongside communities in ways that matter.
