Longmont Humane Society is a non-profit shelter for lost, homeless and abandoned animals. Services include pet adoptions, lost-and-found services, low-cost spay and neuter surgeries, low-cost vaccine clinics, dog-training classes, two thrift stores, foster care, events and volunteer opportunities.
LHS is not a government-funded organization, and depends on the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations to house more than 5,000 animals every year.
There is no limit on the amount of time any animal may stay in the shelter. LHS does not discriminate against any animal on the basis of breed, age or any other factor, viewing and evaluating every animal as an individual.
Longmont Humane Society serves all of northern Boulder County, parts of Weld and Larimer counties, and beyond.
