KGNU 1st Ever FUNKraiser Benefit featuring Colony Funk and DJ Stang Baby

KGNU Community Radio brings you a new and fun-filled evening at the Velvet Elk Lounge in Downtown Boulder, on Friday, October 25th. Dance the night away to Colony Funk and DJ Stang Baby. Get ready to boogie and raise money for your local community radio station; KGNU. There will be a silent auction with prizes from businesses from across the Front Range. Make sure to come dressed to impress because there will be a costume contest with prizes.

Colony Funk is a funk, soul, blues, revival R& B super group with influences from every facet of the musical spectrum making for a truly unique and one of a kind musical experience. Vocal powerhouse Amanda Höfer leads this super group of seasoned Fort Collins musicians with confidence and ease. Founded in 2015 they have curated their sound in Northern Colorado and are constantly evolving. They are one of the best party bands around!

The night doesn’t stop once the band ends their set. At 10:30 DJ Stang Baby continues the vibe with a night of soul-centric sonic exploration.

This Funkraiser will also support Community Food Share. Please remember to bring cans and nonperishable food items to help Community Food Share provide for the food-insecure in Boulder County during the upcoming Holiday Season. Giving back to two local nonprofits, while dressed to the nines, is a great way to kick off your Halloween festivities.
