Event Details
On March 24th at 6 pm at the Aurora Municipal Center, there will be an Aurora city council meeting that DCC encourages all to attend to stand with the family of Kilyn Lewis.
It has been almost a year since Kilyn was killed by Aurora Officer Michael Dieck and nothing has been done to hold him accountable. Aurora City Council has responded to the family and community with constant dismissiveness and disdain. Instead of doing their job and represent the community, they have made it increasingly harder to speak during public comment. We need to remind them that Aurora has not forgotten Kilyn Lewis nor will we ever forget! Learn more about how the police killed him, and then misrepresented who he was.
The Denver-Aurora Community Action Committee—or DACAC for short—is a group of local organizers combating injustice and fighting for equality in Denver and Aurora through education, advocacy, and direct action. Stop Police Violence! CPAC Now! We are also an affiliate of the National Alliance Against Political and Racist Repression (NAARPR).
