Core Open Exhibition: “Artful Conglomerations”

Core Art Space is proud to present “Artful Conglomerations”, a juried exhibition of artists from the Front Range and across the country. Juried by Deborah Jang, a well-respected Colorado artist working primarily in assemblage.

Core asked artists across the country – What do YOU use to make your art? Do you scavenge for parts and pieces in unusual places and assemble your ideas in creative ways? Do you repurpose materials and integrate them into inventive configurations?

The answer is this exhibition that finds its joy in artful conglomerations. Artists responded with many variations of hanging wall works and free-standing pieces in terms of materials, styles and moods. Now it’s up to the viewer to assemble their interpretations of this innovative exhibition.

The Core Annex: “Dark Fang Redux” – Mark Friday and Deborah Jang

Mark Friday and Deborah Jang each repurpose and assemble random parts into sculptural forms –– some playful, some mysterious, some lyrical. Their distinctive energies combine to offer an array of shapes, textures, and visual intrigue.
