Louisville’s biggest community event of the year! Don’t miss the chance to come together with friends and neighbors to experience a weekend celebrating the community spirit of Louisville. Please see below for details about the Senior Dinner, Children’s Pet Parade, Labor Day Parade, and Fall Festival

Annual Senior Dinner at Steinbaugh Pavilion

Friday, August 29
5 PM

This dinner is hosted in recognition of Louisville’s seniors, who give so much throughout the year to make Louisville a special place to live and work. The evening will include door prizes and a chicken dinner with all the trimmings. The event is FREE for Louisville residents ages 60+ and no RSVP is required. To volunteer to serve at the Senior Dinner, please contact please call (303) 335-4581.

 

Children’s Pet Parade on Main Street
Monday, September 1
9 – 9:30 AM

The Children’s Pet Parade runs south on Main Street from South Street to Spruce Street (just south of City Hall). Brush your dog, bathe your cat, and polish your pet rock – the Children’s Pet Parade is coming! We’ve had stuffed animals, dogs, cats, and farm friends (including a llama!). Caged pets with fins, scales, or feathers could be pulled in a wagon if you’re creative and careful. Open to children age 12 and younger. Please complete your parade application in advance so the parade can start on time and run smoothly.

Online Registration due by 5 PM on Friday, August 29. Day-of registration is from 8:15-8:30 AM on Monday, September 1.

Participant information:

  • Check in at the Louisville Historical Museum’s plaza (1001 Main Street)
  • Check in and day-of registration begins at 8:30 AM
  • Please arrive no later than 8:45 AM

All children will receive a prize from the City and a popsicle from the American Legion Auxiliary at the end of the parade!

 

Labor Day Parade at Lafayette and Main
Monday, September 1
10:00 AM

The Labor Day Parade starts at the intersection of E. Lafayette St. and Main St. (the south end of the Louisville Middle School campus) and runs south down Main Street, ending at the intersection of Main St. and Parkview Ave. The map shows road closures in orange, and the parade route in red. The hard red lines represent barricades.

To allow for a safe parade and Fall Festival, multiple roads near Main Street, Louisville Middle School, and Memory Square Park will be closed from 7 AM to 3 PM on Monday, September 1.

 

Parade registration opens Friday, May 2.

Applications due by 5 PM on Monday, August 18Late or day-of entries will not be accepted. The number of parade entries may be limited depending on the number received. Get your application in soon as it’s first come, first served.

Parade order and a reminder about Parade Participant FAQs and Safety Guidelines will be emailed to all parade registrants.

Fall Festival at Memory Square Park

Monday, September 1
9 AM – 3 PM

Explore unique handmade goods, local crafts, fine arts, and freshly baked goods, and indulge your taste buds with a variety of food trucks. Get ready for a day of fun as we welcome autumn’s arrival! This year we are also bringing back Louisville’s beloved annual Pie Contest! Sign-up to bake a pie for the contest or just come by to enjoy the fruits of other people’s labor. Either way, you’re in for a tasty treat! Labor Day Parade winners will be announced at the park at 12 PM. Pie Contest winners will be announced at the park around 1:30 PM.

Vendors must fill out an Application by August 18, 2025 at 5pm, or until all vendor spaces are filled. The Fall Festival is open to vendors selling handmade goods. A staff member will be in touch after receiving your online form.
