Join the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Denver “Marade,” (march + parade), the only one of its kind in the nation.

  • 10:00 a.m.
    • Opening Ceremony at City Park (Food trucks available)
  • 11:45 a.m.
    • Marade Step-Off at City Park (at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. statue)
  • Marade Route
    • March from City Park down Colfax Ave. to end at the Colorado State Capitol

 

The Denver Marade is organized by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Colorado Holiday Commission, a volunteer-run, donor-funded organization. This event is designed to celebrate and honor the life and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. since 1986. Please join us as we honor Dr. King’s legacy that lives on during this federal and state holiday of celebration and service.

The purpose of the Statewide Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Colorado Holiday Commission is to unify and educate communities within the State of Colorado and encourage appropriate observations, ceremonies and activities in commemoration of the federal holiday and state legal holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. throughout all the towns, cities, school districts, counties and local governments within Colorado.
