About This Event
Cantabile Singers presents I Will Not Be Silent, a powerful choral concert celebrating music of action and transformation on Thursday, February 20, 2026, at 7:30 PM at First Congregational Church of Boulder. This inspiring program mobilizes the impossible light within us all to change our world for the better, weaving powerful Civil Rights Era protest songs with Dale Trumbore’s contemporary Calendar of Light. Under the direction of Artistic Director Brian Stone, Boulder’s premier community chorus performs iconic anthems including Bob Dylan’s The Times They Are A-Changin’, the racial justice anthem We Shall Overcome, and Paul Simon’s Bridge Over Troubled Water, alongside contemporary works by Shaina Taub (Keep Marching) and Stuart Chapman Hill (When Our Voices Rise). This February concert follows Cantabile’s November celebration of light with a call to embrace change and take action through the transformative power of song. Perfect for those seeking inspiration, social justice through music, and community connection through choral performance. Experience how protest songs and contemporary choral works unite to create a musical movement for positive change in Boulder’s beautiful First Congregational Church.
