Event Details

Join Soundpost Sessions for an intimate evening of acoustic music in Downtown Longmont featuring Longmont’s own Taylor Sims w/ Many Mountains!

Taylor officially started his professional career in music in 2004 at the age of 19. He moved to Colorado with a bluegrass band after college, and they started touring around the state. In 2007 they won both the Telluride Bluegrass band competion and the Rockygrass band competition, the only band to ever win both in the same year. That feat led to much more touring and a rigorous schedule over the next five/six years. Taylor has been doing a lot of solo writing and he is excited to release a solo album soon.

Katie Rose Nelson and Dustin Moran form the folk-rock duo Many Mountains. With their genre-bending sound and songwriting focus, influences range from Gillian Welch to The Rolling Stones. Their songs are interlaced with vocal harmonies and leads that alternate between the two songwriters, creating a rich and lasting sound with lyrics that reflect on the relationship we have with ourselves and others – bringing truthers to the table, facing who we are, and the constant state of becoming.

$18 per person. Get tickets here!

The Soundpost Sessions

The Soundpost Sessions is a concert series dedicated to nurturing the Colorado music community through intimate, high-fidelity listening experiences. Our events showcase primarily original acts, ranging from local talents to touring artists. Initially hosted at La Vita Bella Café in Downtown Longmont from March 2019, the series transitioned in Summer 2021 to Longmont Public Media, located in the historic Carnegie Library building at 457 4th Ave. Here, our shows were recorded before a live studio audience for broadcast.
