Exhibition Open Thursday, February 5, 2026, 5:00 PM — Friday, February 13, 2026, 5:00 PM

The Wayfaring Band will be hosting an Opening Reception on Thursday, February 5th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leon Gallery.
The reception will be free and open to the public, light refreshments provided.

Since its inception, The Wayfaring Band has been inviting resident artists along on tour to capture the beauty of the disability community. Join us for a night of reflection, exploration, wonder, and joy as you take in 13 years of art by professional artists, created in response to far-flung adventures with a neurodiverse community. The exhibition features a wide range of artistic forms—including painting, photography, sculpture, composition, dance, textiles, and storytelling—each piece serving as an ode to the road and the relationships formed along the way.

The Artist-in-Residence program is rooted in the belief that art, like travel, is a powerful tool for connection, belonging, and cultural change. Artists are invited not only to document journeys but to travel alongside participants, build authentic relationships, and reflect the beauty, complexity, and humanity of disabled individuals. The residency offers artists the space to listen deeply, create in response to lived experience, and collaborate within a community. Together, these works honor the experience of traveling on tour, inviting audiences to imagine a more inclusive world—one shaped by curiosity, access, and mutual respect.

Featured artists include: Scott Alden, Drew Austin, Shaunie Berry, Robin Blankenship, Katie Boeck, Sophia Calderón, Gillian Campbell, Brad Connor, Sarah Darlene, Mark Davis, Tyrone Davis Jr., Hakeem Furious, Matt Gould, Moe Gram, Andrew Griffin, Heidi Hamill, Maureen Hearty, Bridget Heddens, Holly-Kai Hurd, Alexandria Jimenez, Emily Grace King, Matt Maggioni, Sarah Merritt, Stephanie Mikuls, Jaclyn Miller, Elle Naef, Helen Nguyen, Jeff Page, Ryan Panaligan, Scott Pearse, Lisa Pike, Greg Richane, Derek Rippe, Matt Schmalz, Dan Stowell, Andy Thomas, Brandon Vargas, Justin Wild, Fay Wolf, and Assetou Xango.
