Three Semi-Solo Art Shows at D'art Gallery

D’art Gallery is proud to host three semi-solo shows of gallery members from February 12 through March 8, 2026.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 13th, from 6 to 9 pm.

Deborah Carlson: “Into the Quiet”

Into The Quiet brings the viewer into a reflective stillness where silence feels alive and intentional. These works are created with glass forms that hold space, both physically and emotionally, capturing memory, breath, and the delicate weight of what we carry within. Through textures, layers, and subtle presence, the exhibition offers a quiet place to pause, feel, and listen inward.

Deborah Carlson primarily works with glass, exploring multiple techniques and layers to create her art. Choosing to express her ideas through naturally occurring visuals, she settled on glass because it flows in an orderly rhythm, expressing the light in life. Her art stems from a deep desire for depth, color, and fluidity. Therefore, glass is the perfect medium for Deborah. Georgia O’Keeffe once said that in order to paint anything, one must find and understand its soul. Deborah’s work incorporates that attitude into every one-of-a-kind piece. She aims to pull the soul out of each of her subjects. If you stare at a flower long enough, you will find the rhythm of the universe.

Bryan Geary: “Kikko-Naguri”

Naguri: A traditional Japanese woodworking technique that creates rhythmic, hand-carved texture on wood surfaces. Using an adze, gouge, or chisel, the maker forms precise, repeating scoops, gentle waves, and harmonious patterns—transforming flat planes into dynamic, tactile reliefs that beautifully catch light and shadow.

Bryan Geary is a studio furniture artist whose work celebrates wood as a living, dynamic material. Each piece begins with a profound respect for the tree—its origin, how it was harvested and dried, and how it will continue to respond to seasonal changes and the passage of decades—resulting in functional, enduring forms built to last for generations.

Shelley Hull: “Ineffable”

Ineffable: That which cannot be expressed or described in language; too great for words; transcending expression; unspeakable, unutterable, inexpressible.

Shelley Hull paints contemporary southwestern landscapes. She loves to paint the mountains, the desert, cliffs, hoodoos, moraines, cirques, canyons, valleys, clouds, and the vast ever-changing western sky. She discovered her love of the southwest almost 45 years ago after spending most of her early life east of the 100th Meridian. Coming west felt like a return 'home' visually and spiritually. The allure and connection are a mystery. The western landscape and its effect on her is ineffable.
