Celebrate Black artistry, excellence, and legacy at the Opening Reception of Black Futures in Art 2026 on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 5:00–8:00 PM at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder. Now in its fourth year, this powerful annual exhibition honors Black History Month while recognizing Black creativity year-round.
Curated by Adderly Grant-Lord, the 2026 exhibition centers on the theme: “The excellence beneath our feet lives in our bones,” exploring legacy, inheritance, resilience, and cultural memory through contemporary visual art.
The free opening reception features live music by a dynamic ensemble of Colorado-based musicians and launches an exhibition on view February 19 – March 29, 2026.
