The City of Boulder and Boulder County invite community members to attend an open house marking the release of the draft Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan. After nearly a year and a half of community engagement, the draft plan will be shared publicly, and attendees can learn how local input helped shape updated policies and the Future Land Use Map.
The Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan guides long-term decisions about growth, sustainability and services in Boulder and the surrounding area. First adopted in 1977 and updated every 10 years, the plan reflects evolving community values and priorities. The current draft incorporates feedback gathered through dozens of engagement opportunities, including workshops, open houses, online questionnaires and the city’s first-ever Community Assembly.
The open house will also feature “Experiments in Public Art,” an exhibition created in collaboration with local artists and community members to creatively explore planning topics and elevate diverse voices.
