Join Larimer Square, just steps away from Outside Festival on Auraria Campus, to bring the community together before the weekend festivities begin.
In partnership with Cotopaxi, guests can relax in a curated outdoor lounge experience built for connecting, unwinding, and getting ready for the festival. The evening will also celebrate the completion of a brand-new mural by Denver artist Pat Milbery, featuring interactive elements and opportunities for festivalgoers to engage with the artwork.
Whether you’re heading to Outside Festival or just looking to kick off the weekend downtown, Larimer Square is the place to be.
We meet again.
It all began in the heart of Denver.
Denver got its start on Larimer Street between 14th and 15th in the late 1800s.
Named Larimer Square for the pioneering General William Larimer, it was the city’s first block, its first commercial district, home to its first residence and first city hall, and was the city’s first designated historic district.
The future is bright.
Larimer Square remains the beating heart and creative soul of downtown Denver.
With the preservation and restoration of its heritage architecture and streetscape, the area’s modern renaissance honors Denver’s pioneering spirit while setting the stage for a colorful and community-centered new era.
