I love my work because I serve my clients in a way that leaves them enriched and happy. That may sound goofy, but in the practical world, shepherding people through the complicated and high-stakes process that is the largest financial decision in their lives is vital work. Not Nobel, but perhaps noble.
You really do have to love this work, because it’s really hard work. There are no set hours, weekends are not your own, and you only get paid if the transaction closes. But I truly love what I do because I love to serve. I take the extra time and effort to methodically inform and guide my clients through the entire process. Real estate contracts are long and complicated. And there is a lot at stake. I want to make sure my clients understand every step along the way – and then sign when they are ready. This approach has earned me a long list of clients for life, and their success is the sum of my success. I serve at my clients’ pleasure.
