Dear inquiring minds,
Have you enjoyed one of our many free panels, lectures, or conversations in the Longmont Museum’s Stewart Auditorium in the past or always wanted to?
Now that the global transition towards sustainable energy is gaining momentum, what will the future sustainable world look like? How will we build? How will our mobility be impacted? And how are local providers preparing to meet the clean energy demand? We’ll take a big-picture look through the film “Backlight: Beyond The Green Horizon.” Then we’ll get more granular as Platte River Power Authority (PRPA) and local energy thought-leaders present the opportunities and goals for our community. The event also includes learning activities for kids and an information fair with community partners and local resources.
Join us as we embark upon a colorful journey into the clean energy era as it creates jobs, turns profits and makes communities stronger and healthier across the U.S. Reaching well beyond a great story of technology and innovation, the film “Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution” explores issues of human resilience, social justice, embracing the future and finding hope for our survival.
Designed to engage, inform and equip people with concrete ways to help make a difference on climate change, Climate Action Sundays feature an information fair with community partners and local resources, kids’ activities, a film, and a panel discussion featuring experts on climate change.
Co-presented with the City of Longmont’s Sustainability Program.
