As winter approaches, we gather together for an evening of shared song and story, setting the intention of peace for all. A beloved event brought to life in the past by former Music School director Julie Davis, the Peace Concert was a Swallow Hill tradition in December, featuring a variety of musicians and storytellers. The entire evening is a heartfelt hope for peace – the only words spoken will be the lyrics of the songs and the words of the stories. Please join us as we bring this tradition back on Saturday Dec 7th at 8 p.m. in Tuft Theatre.
Performers will include Chris Daniels, Perpetual Motion violin & guitar duo (Tom Carleno & Josie Quick), Harry Tuft, Mollie O’Brien & Rich Moore, the power trio of Ernie Martinez, Mary Huckins, Jon Chandler, Somethin’ About Lulu harmony trio, Holly Love (storyteller), Swallow Hill vocal quartet of Virginia Anderson, Patty Jackson, Elyse Midgyett, and Shauna Sweeney.
These performers are donating their time and talent, with proceeds from ticket sales to be donated in support of the Music Therapy and Education Outreach programs offered by Swallow Hill.
This is a non-political, non-religious event, where we let the lyrics speak for themselves.
