Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Assoc.

Gunnison County has something to offer for any traveler. From the adrenalin junkies heading to Crested Butte or the Black Canyon, to leisure hounds strolling the street of Gunnison or exploring Marble, in the Upper Crystal River Valley, there is something for everyone.

Heralded as “Colorado’s last great ski town,” Gunnison-Crested Butte is home of inviting people, Western heritage and unspoiled natural beauty. Crested Butte is recognized as the Official Wildflower Capital of Colorado and can be enjoyed on comfortable summer days and freshly powdered ones alike. Colorado’s oldest rodeo celebration, the Cattleman Days, are held in Gunnison and brought in XX people in 2014.

Fisher man come from miles around and guided tours abound, whether it’s snowmobiling or four wheeling. The Victorian homes and buildings of Gunnison are set in the high desert plateaus, yet the mountains are minutes away. Mining brought people to these places in the 1800’s but it’s the beauty and accessibility that keeps them coming back!
