One look of Bald Mountain from where Cal-Wood sits atop the Rocky Mountains and you will know why we have been a favorite school and camp getaway for 40 years.

Just 45 minutes from Boulder, Cal-Wood is the place to come to really feel Colorado. Just about everyone who has grown up in the Boulder County area has at some point stayed at Cal-Wood and still recollect their memories as a favorite of their youth.

 

For most of our 40 years serving Colorado kids, we were limited to the number of openings but in 2012 we underwent a thoughtful and planned expansion allowing more campers to be able to get in.

Cal-Wood Summer Camp is our most ‘traditional’ summer camp. You’ll get to go horse back riding, build team skills on the high ropes course, delve into arts and crafts, sleep under the stars, go for amazing hikes, play awesome outdoor games, and roast marshmallows around the campfire! This camp runs concurrently with our UTREK camp, which allows Cal-Wood Summer Campers to meet a team of campers from Japan and enjoy a night of learning about Japanese culture. See old friends, make new ones, and explore the majesty of Cal-Wood.

Cal-Wood Chipmunk Summer Camp
First time going to a summer camp? Great! Have you ever…ridden a horse? Tip-toed 30 feet above the ground on a ropes course? Slept under the stars? Mastered arts and crafts? Come to this camp designed specifically for first timers and young campers to experience traditional summer camp experiences. Come join us on an outdoor adventure like no other!

 

Dates: June 23rd – 26th
