Event Details

In Pueblo culture, clay pottery represents not only carefully crafted works of art, but also living connections across time. At the Pueblo of Acoma, renowned all over the world for its pottery, some families share this tradition across generations. In this series of videos, learn about the connections between one of Acoma’s most accomplished potter families, the Lewis family—and the way their art and techniques have been shared across the generations. Visit the CU museum to see the work of matriarch and master potter Lucy M. Lewis on display alongside other famed artisans in her family, including beloved former Buff, Carmel Lewis Haskaya.
