June 4th, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Celebrate the Boulder Plein Air Festival with an immersive half-day outdoor painting experience among iconic Flatiron views!
Colorado adventure company Abstract Adventures is offering a unique hiking and painting experience for ages 12 and older in conjunction with the 2025 Boulder County Plein Air Festival. At Boulder’s Chautauqua Park, as Festival Artists are painting scenes of the Flatirons, you can embark on a moderate 3 mile hike during the festival paint out and arrive at a scenic spot for a rustic outdoor painting lesson – grounding with nature, sitting on covered terrain. You’ll be guided through creating a landscape painting, learning fun and easy techniques along the way. Enjoy a light snack while the paint dries before heading back with your newest creation and inspiration in tow! 40% of all proceeds will go to Open Studios in Boulder.
