Coal Creek Theater of Louisville presents The Front Range Playwrights’ Showcase on August 25, 2023.  The Showcase has been a regular part of our season since 2007 and returns after a brief haitus because of Covid.

What: Coal Creek Theater of Louisville 2023 Front Range Playwrights’ Showcase
When: Friday, August 25th at 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. The event will last roughly 2 hours.
Where: Louisville Center for the Arts at 801 Grant Ave. Louisville CO 80027
Tickets: $10 at the door.

The Showcase is Coal Creek Theater’s way of promoting local talent and bringing you great theater at the same time. We’ve received many short one act new plays that have never been produced or seen before, all by local playwrights. Our committee has narrowed these down to what we consider the top 3.

These new works will be presented as staged readings and adjudicated by our distinguished panel of judges (Alphonse Keasley, Madge Montgomery, and Terence Keane), and you the audience can comment and ask questions about the shows and the process.

We’ll wrap the night up with good drinks and good company. These 3 shows will be workshopped throughout the year and next year will be presented as full productions at Coal Creek’s Evening of Colorado-Grown One Acts. By coming to the Showcase, you get to see how the shows evolve from pen and paper to full production (when you attend the Evening of One Acts next year)!
