Experience an evocative musical journey inspired by Nordic landscapes and storytelling with COmpass REsonance: Norwegian Wood, the season finale performance from Boulder’s innovative chamber ensemble. Known as “Boulder’s CORE,” COmpass REsonance brings together acclaimed musicians from across the U.S. and Colorado to perform dynamic works spanning centuries and cultures.

This unique program explores themes of climate, environment, and human psychology through orchestral and chamber music inspired by Nordic Romanticism. Audiences will hear powerful works by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg and Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, along with pieces ranging from folk-inspired music and J.S. Bach to a creative new interpretation of The Beatles’ beloved song “Norwegian Wood.”

Presented in the intimate Gordon Gamm Theater, the concert highlights the ensemble’s mission to bring together virtuosic artists and imaginative programming that connects music across time and cultures.

Dairy Arts Center

Dairy Arts Center was founded in 1992 to provide cooperative workspaces for local artists and venues for live performance in Boulder County. Originally owned by the Watts-Hardy Dairy, the building’s transformation from a former milk-processing facility to a thriving multi-disciplinary arts hub for Boulder and beyond is a nationally recognized example of constructive urban development and renewal. The Dairy’s founders envisioned a community arts center where artists of all genres would create and inspire each other and the greater community.
