CU Dance Presents Catapult: Emerging Choreographers Take the Stage
Innovative Student Dance Works in Intimate Theatre Setting
January 30-February 1, 2026 | Charlotte York Irey Theatre
CU Boulder’s Department of Theatre & Dance presents Catapult, an exciting BFA dance concert showcasing emerging choreographers crafting bold new works that push artistic boundaries.
What to Expect
Catapult features a fusion of dance genres exploring diverse personal themes through innovative, multisensory performances. These student-created works take full advantage of the intimate Charlotte York Irey Theatre, with choreography that extends into and around the space itself.
The performance includes loud music, occasional screams, themes of violence, strobe lighting and theatrical haze. Performers may move through the aisles, though they won’t directly engage with audience members.
