As the official closing celebration of Denver Days, our Denver Days Back to School Fest 2026 brings together city agencies, community partners, families, and the volunteer impact of First Lady Courtney Johnston’s Give5 Mile High Initiative for a day of resources, support, and celebration designed to help students start the school year prepared, confident, and connected.
Join us for a fun-filled day, completely FREE for Denver families, featuring 1,000+ backpacks filled with school supplies, valuable community resources, a vaccination and basic physical exam clinic by our colleagues at the Denver Department of Public Health & Environment (DDPHE) and family-friendly activities.
Thanks to our partners at Goodwill of Colorado, students can personalize their new backpacks at a special customization station. Our guests can also enjoy live performances from Youth on Record, fresh haircuts provided by R&R Headlabs, and much more, all part of a celebration of community, culture, and opportunity as we kick off a successful school year together!
Denver Days is back! From July 31–August 9, 2026, neighbors across the city will come together for two full weekends of block parties, park picnics, and community celebrations. It’s the perfect chance to meet new neighbors, reconnect with old friends, and celebrate what makes your neighborhood special.
Planning a block party? Space is limited to 50 block parties, so don’t wait! First, submit your block party or park picnic permit application, then complete your Denver Days submission to reserve your spot. Click the "How do I register" tab to get started and be part of this citywide celebration!
