Join Dr. KaChun Yu and Bob Raynolds for their 100th presentation of the Digital Earth program!
Our immersive planetarium experience will weave together several themes from the past 17 years into a captivating, living story that resounds with reverence for our planet and optimism for our future.
As we voyage through time and space, you will learn about how we evolved on our incredible blue planet, cradled in the “Goldilocks zone”, magnetically shielded from radiation. We’ll examine the asteroid impact that ended the age of dinosaurs and opened the door for mammals to thrive, eventually giving rise to our Australopithecine ancestors in Africa’s Rift Valley.
Using innovative datasets and immersive 360° photography to show patterns and processes across the globe, we will highlight critical resource challenges in our corner of the Earth in the Western United States and offer a look at how we can direct our efforts towards a sustainable future built on scientific principles and enlightened resource utilization.
Join us after each show for a short reception with cookies and coffee to celebrate the hard work and dedication of this dynamic duo over the past 100 shows!
