Trail Description: The Enchanted Mesa Trail departs from behind the historic Chautauqua Auditorium, offering a gentle ascent through varied terrain. After passing the intersection with McClintock Lower and Upper Trails, the route curves around a water reservoir (that looks like a large roof!) and continues upward through open grassy meadows. Here, hikers are treated to panoramic views of the Flatirons ahead and Boulder/CU campus views behind. The trail eventually enters lush ponderosa pine forests, creating a magical woodland atmosphere that gives the trail its enchanting name.
