Alien Safari & Shapes in the Sky

Part of the Live Interactive Planetarium Symposium

Wednesday, July 23rd

Fiske Planetarium

2414 Regent Dr, Boulder, CO

12:30-1:30

Experience Alien Safari by stepping into the role of an astrobiologist on a daring mission to discover alien life! Begin the safari on Earth and meet animals living in the most extreme environments our planet has to offer. Then, blast off to explore where aliens could exist in the universe, from planets and moons in our own Solar System to mysterious exoplanets orbiting around distant stars in the Milky Way Galaxy. Presented by Erin, Planetarium Education Coordinator at the Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport, New York.

Then, travel through the nighttime celestial scape with Shapes in the Sky. We’ll look for familiar shapes among the stars in the sky and imagine our own personal star patterns. (Great for kids of all ages, best for the younger ones.) Presented by Shira, the Planetarium Manager at the Davis Planetarium of the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
