This new class will examine the relationship between movement, music, history, & culture of Salsa dancing. Includes instruction of Cuban Popular, Cuban Folkloric, and Afro-Cuban dances within Body Movement & Partner-Work techniques. All levels welcome.

Jesús Muñoz is a dancer, choreographer, educator, percussionist, a current ensemble dancer at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, & recent MFA in Dance Graduate from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Born in Mexico, Muñoz functions within the contexts of Mexican Folkloric, Afro-Cuban, Cuban Folkloric, Cuban Popular, Cuban Contemporary, Ballet, Modern, and Contemporary Dance & Latin Percussion. He holds a BFA in Dance Performance from the University of Central Oklahoma. Being informed by his Mexican-Indigenous heritage, he explores dance through a cultural lens to celebrate Latinidad.
