Summer Concert Series: Foggy Mountain Spaceship

Step into the Longmont Museum’s newly transformed Stewart Family Courtyard for a dynamic evening with Foggy Mountain Spaceship on July 17, 2025. This psychedelic-bluegrass trio—Chris Elliott on banjo, Chris Sheldon on their custom Banjotron Acoustikit?2000™, and Kyle Ussery on bass—celebrates the 50th anniversary of the historic astronaut-cosmonaut handshake (which included Longmont’s own Vance Brand) with original compositions, inventive covers, and cosmic instrumentals. The first show in the Museum’s Summer Concert Series, it’s free and open to the public—reservations are unnecessary. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, enjoy snacks or charcuterie boxes (pre?order available), and soak in the sunset tunes against the backdrop of Longs Peak. Kids, families, and music lovers are all welcome; concessions available on-site. No outside alcohol allowed.
