Roots Music Fest is set to become the largest music festival in Downtown Boulder in more than a decade. Taking place October 17–19, 2025, the festival will feature over 100 bands, 12 stages, and 600 musicians from across the state and beyond. Headliners include Andy Frasco & the U.N., Yonder Mountain String Band, and North Mississippi Allstars, promising a diverse and high-energy lineup. With support from Boulder philanthropist Dan Caruso, the festival now boasts a budget of over $1 million, ensuring top-tier production and unforgettable performances. This investment marks a major milestone for the Colorado music scene, especially in light of recent changes like the closure of UMS. Festival organizers plan to make next year’s event even bigger, solidifying Boulder as a hub for live music. Roots Music Fest will celebrate local talent while drawing music lovers from across the country to the heart of downtown.
