ICE Out! Colorado State Capitol

Event Details

Denver says, Stand With Immigrants! Showing up in solidarity to demand ICE Out!

This is a protest and march in solidarity with Minneapolis and calling for the abolishment of ICE.

There will be a march that will begin at ~6:40pm. This is a long march but it will be a good one, and doesn’t just “walk around 16th st mall” or “yell at empty buildings”.

– While that is happening, other organizers will be staying back at the capital ensuring that people remain safe and helping keep the protest at the capital energetic while the march is marching.

– Safety marshals from 50501 and the brown berets will be identifiable, medics will be provided by PULSE.

1: No Further ICE Expansion in Colorado.

2: Closure of the GEO Aurora Contract Detention Center

3: Divestment from private prison contracts.

4: Re-investment into housing, healthcare, education, and other social needs.

5: Immediate public response to all demands by Colorado elected officials

Lead organizing orgs: CIRC, COPA, ND2BIndivisible, Denver Labor Against ICE, Grito En Colorado, 50501 Colorado, and the Brown Berets of Tepetlan.

There has been misinformation spreading about what the “official” protest is. First of all, there is no such thing as an “official” protest. Protest because you want to, in the ways you want to, not just because you are told to by anyone. Second of all there is no “official” location for a protest and the fact that individuals are calling the capital west steps the only official protest is the reason why protest is often easily ignored and ineffective. We were lucky to have hundreds show up all the way in Hudson to protest at the new ICE Detention Center a couple weeks ago and that was amazing. There are many ways and many places to voice your dissent.

Organizer

50501 Movement

The first #50501 protests were a decentralized rapid response to the anti-democratic and illegal actions of the Trump administration and its plutocratic allies. The idea—50 protests in 50 states on 1 day—was born on r/50501 and spread rapidly on social media. In just days, grassroots organizers—without any budget, centralized structure, or official backing—pulled off over 80 peaceful protests in all 50 states. Since then, the protests have grown over successive days of action: February 17th, March 4th, April 5th, April 19th, May 1st, June 14th, July 4th, July 17th, August 2nd, October 18th, and January 31st, 2026. The movement has mobilized millions of people and brought together a growing network of organizers and organizations, both new and established. Our movement shows the world that the American working class will not sit idly by as plutocrats rip apart their democratic institutions and civil liberties while undermining the rule of law.

50 protests. 50 states. 1 day.
