Join us for story time where we’ll gather among the plants for a fun, family-friendly reading, perfect for little ones and their grown-ups. Each story time includes a seasonal book and plenty of time to explore our whimsical shop. It’s a free event—just bring your curiosity and love of stories! No RSVP needed.

Happy Day Plants is the culmination of owner Jessica Birmingham’s lifelong passion and dedication. For years, Jessica nurtured a wide variety of houseplants, all while dreaming of opening her own plant shop.
The turning point came when her eldest daughter, Bailey, who has Down Syndrome, graduated from high school. The Birmingham family soon discovered the scarcity of employment opportunities for young adults like Bailey.
Jessica’s enduring love for plants, combined with her desire to empower individuals with special needs, inspired her to open a retail storefront on November 6, 2021, on Main Street in Downtown Longmont.

Happy Day Plants

Adults with disabilities often face significant barriers to traditional employment. Help us provide them with meaningful employment opportunities. It is our goal to provide unmatched customer service and source beautiful healthy plants, accessories and gifts that can be enjoyed for years to come. In addition, we host community events, creative workshops for kids and adults, and educational field trips to further extend our reach. ?
