Event Details

On Friday, 1/30 for Mr Knobs + Jack Campbell & The Head Mess + Nine Wide Sky will headline the End at Dog House Music Studios. Doors are at 6:30 PM with the show starting at 7 PM. Cocktails, beer, wine, cider, and seltzers, plus some snacks and coffee, will be available.

The End Lafayette is a cozy 75-person live music venue nestled inside the recording studios of Dog House Music. Our shows are intimate affairs where each guest is invited into the recording studio to experience small-batch local music. Many of the bands and artists on stage have written, rehearsed, and recorded their music right from the studio.

ABOUT THE ACTS:

Mr Knobs is a daredevil act you can’t turn away from. A sound so big it’ll catapult you into the stratosphere, catching you on your way down in the buoyant embrace of a trapeze net. Painting with ethereal violin, primal percussion, neon synths, and the whirring electronic melodies of the digisphere, the band augments electrifying vocals and dramaturgic lyrics with their unique alchemy of analog and digital sound. Strap in and get ready to dance, weep, and howl to Mr Knobs’ own mystical brand of electronic prog pop.

Jack Campbell & The Head Mess draw on the Minneapolis songwriting tradition of stuffing infectious pop earworms and unique harmonic flavors into a fuzzy garage rock package. Their danceable indie rock veneer, akin to influences such as Sondre Lerche, the Replacements, and Elvis Costello, conceals deeper themes of mental health and relationship struggles. Following the feature of their single “Absentee” on the hit podcast Welcome to Night Vale, the group has captivated hundreds of thousands of fans around the globe, and their latest single, “Second Thoughts,” is now available on all streaming platforms.

Join Nine Wide Sky on a sonic journey shaped by 80’s new-wave, 90’s rock, hip-hop, and anything that “just sounds cool”. Dave Kennedy, executive director of Roots Music Project, describes Nine Wide Sky as “original in their sound, in their song writing, in their drum kit, and so many things. It’s a rarity.”
