MahlerFest: Beethoven’s Ninth (Mahler’s Version)

Experience a powerful orchestral performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in the rarely heard edition prepared by Gustav Mahler. Presented by Colorado MahlerFest, the concert features the MahlerFest Orchestra led by artistic director Kenneth Woods. The program also includes Edward Elgar’s arrangement of Bach’s Fantasia & Fugue and the world premiere of a new work by Elcock. The performance takes place at Macky Auditorium as part of MahlerFest 39, the annual Boulder festival celebrating Mahler’s music and legacy.
