Event Details

Niwot Marching Band at Bootstrap!

The Niwot Community Semi-Marching Free Grange Band was (like Yankee Doodle) “born on the 4th of July” in 2005, when the band performed for the dedication of the bandstand at Whistle Stop Park in Niwot. The all-volunteer band consists of 20 to 30 members who perform a variety of music for community events in Niwot and beyond throughout the year. With over 200 songs in our repertoire, we play Big Band Music, Classic and Current Rock & Roll, Jazz, Polka, and Patriotic sets.

The band is “Semi-Marching” because we are based in “Semi-Rural” Niwot, Colorado, and we “Semi-March” once a year to lead children in a 2-block Halloween parade, playing “I Want Candy.”

The band is “Free Grange” because we play for free at the Left Hand Grange in Niwot, and are co-sponsored by Left Hand Grange No. 9 and the Niwot Cultural Arts Association.

Bootstrap Brewing

Bootstrap Brewing was born in 2012 when founders Leslie and Steve Kaczeus traded their careers in the high-tech world for stainless steel tanks, hops, and a dream. Their mission? Build an adventurous, independent craft brewery that cranks out great beer, has a hell of a good time doing it, and gives back along the way. Steve, a mechanical engineer and program manager by trade, spent years as an avid homebrewer before graduating from the American Brewer’s Guild in 2011. Leslie brought the marketing firepower, and together, they brought Bootstrap to life. Their goal has always been simple: Make really great beer, and have a lot of fun doing it. You’ll feel it in every pour, and you’ll hear it too. We’re powered by classic rock, and so is our beer. No, seriously, our fermenters are surrounded by 24/7 tunes. Maybe that’s why the beer comes out so happy, bold, and ready to party. (And yes, we actually pair our beers with music. Check the cans.) We’re proudly independent, family-owned, and 100% craft. We’re also deeply rooted in our community. Supporting local nonprofits is part of who we are. Check out our Save the Puppies campaign where we donate 1% of profits from Double Lush Puppy to dog shelters!
