After an incredible, nearly sold-out show in 2024, the Oriental Theater is bringing back two of Denver’s most beloved tribute bands for another one-night only Clash of the Boingo! September 6, 2025. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
Two tribes. One stage. Maximum chaos.
Denver’s most electrifying tribute acts return to The Oriental Theater for their third annual collision of new wave mayhem and punk rock rebellion, Sept. 6, 2025.
NUNS OF BRIXTON open with The Clash’s revolutionary punk anthems, channeling Joe Strummer’s passionate fury and the band’s genre-defying sound. Expect blistering renditions of “London Calling,” “White Man In Hammersmith Palais,” and “Should I Stay or Should I Go” delivered with authentic punk spirit and reggae-tinged grooves played by the hottest habit-sporting punks you’ve ever seen.
REPTILES AND SAMURAI brings Danny Elfman’s twisted genius to life with razor-sharp precision, delivering Oingo Boingo’s frenetic energy and theatrical madness. From “Dead Man’s Party” to “Weird Science,” they capture every manic horn stab, guitar virtuosity, synth wizardry, driving bass lines, marimba bombast, and Elfman’s unmistakable vocal acrobatics that defined the ’80s new wave underground.
This isn’t just a tribute show—it’s a celebration of two bands that refused to be categorized, who pushed boundaries and created movements. Watch as ska horns clash with punk guitars, new wave synthesizers battle reggae rhythms, and two of Denver’s most dedicated tribute acts prove why this annual tradition has become legendary.
The Oriental Theater’s iconic atmosphere transforms into a time machine, transporting audiences to the heyday of CBGB’s and the Whisky a Go Go. Whether you’re moshing to “Rock the Casbah” or skanking to “Only a Lad,” this night promises to be an unforgettable journey through the music that changed everything.
Doors open at 7 PM. Revolution begins at 8 PM.
Additionally, ASL interpreters from FLOW Performance Interpreting will be on hand — making this special event more accessible for those with hearing loss.
With multimedia projection art from John Heenan (https://www.instagram.com/johnnylivefeed), this show already promises to raise the bar from last year’s epic performance. Pre-sales are already moving quickly, so it’s highly encouraged to buy tickets sooner than later, or risk missing out on this fantastic collaboration!
Third time’s the charm. This time, it’s tribal.
