Event Details

Capture memories through poetry and journaling with the author of Ode to Chores: The Good, the Bad and the Laundry. Whether you’re writing about your children or grandchildren, reflecting on your own journey, or escaping into myth and fiction, this creative writing workshop will help you turn experiences into stories. Through guided prompts, writing tips, and discussion, you’ll explore new ways to shape memory into words. No writing background is needed – just curiosity and a desire to write in a safe, supportive community.

About the Instructor

She is also the co-founder of Fireside Ink Writers Workshop, a Boulder-based organization dedicated to making writing instruction affordable and inclusive, and the author of Ode to Chores: The Good, the Bad and the Laundry. Brenda teaches memoir and creative writing throughout Boulder County, helping writers of all backgrounds find their voice and shape their experiences into art.
