Soundpost Sessions SPOTLIGHT: Savannah Brister w/ Taylor Shae

Join us for an intimate night of live music with these two incredible vocalists in Downtown Longmont’s premier listening room.

Savannah Brister, a Memphis-based singer-songwriter, captivates audiences with her compelling voice and heartfelt songwriting. Her performances are infused with an undeniable emotional depth, resonating with listeners and creating an inviting, intimate atmosphere. Savannah’s quirky charm further endears her to fans, making each show a memorable experience.  In early 2019, Savannah gained national recognition when she appeared on NBC’s The Voice and earned a spot on John Legend’s team. Her talent has also been celebrated through numerous accolades, including an HMMA award for her song “Dear World” and multiple awards for her song “Feelings,” which will be on her upcoming album “Soft.” Don’t miss the chance to witness Savannah Brister’s heartfelt artistry live—she’s sure to leave you inspired and wanting more.

Taylor Shae grew up in the Longmont area in a musical family. By the age of 13, she began writing her own songs and playing the guitar. Now, just a decade later, she released a new single, “Smoke and Lead.” As a young teen, Shae had many influences that empowered her to begin writing original songs. Jessica Rogalski, co-founder and voice coach at Mojo’s Music in Longmont, suggested Shae write an original song for Longmont Idol — a music event that showcased local talent. Shae was further convinced when she started playing music with some local women who had original materials. At the time, she was singing cover songs from her favorite artist.

The Soundpost Sessions

The Soundpost Sessions is a concert series dedicated to nurturing the Colorado music community through intimate, high-fidelity listening experiences. Our events showcase primarily original acts, ranging from local talents to touring artists. Initially hosted at La Vita Bella Café in Downtown Longmont from March 2019, the series transitioned in Summer 2021 to Longmont Public Media, located in the historic Carnegie Library building at 457 4th Ave. Here, our shows were recorded before a live studio audience for broadcast.
