Please Join Sugar Britches along with several amazing guests as they pay tribute and celebrate the life an music of iconic American songwriter, John Prine.
Sugar Britches is a blend of mischievous high-brow honky-tonk with eclectic instrumental accompaniment and clever lyrics, written by Brian Johanson and performed by a cavalcade of characters. Combining good ‘ol country heartache along with snarky folksy wit, Sugar Britches has been playing non-stop throughout Colorado and the great West in bars, parking lots, weddings, bat mitzvahs, rodeos, amphitheaters and regular-ass theaters since 2017.
Sugar Britches will be joined by Alysia Kraft (The Patti Fiasco, Whippoorwill), Ansel Foxley (Ansel and the Brain Tattoos, the Patti Fiasco), Elise Wunder (Solo/ Das Wunder Band) and Joe Schicke (Westside Joe and the Men of Soul) at Denver’s Four mile historic Park for an evening of camaraderie and soul, singing the quirky, humorous and heartbreaking songs of the late John Prine, who passed away in 2020 due to complications from covid.
