Symphony No. 2 by Jean Sibelius

The BSO Presents “Symphony No. 2” by Jean Sibelius and “Eulogy for the Dreamer” by Colorado composer Robert Strobel.  Robert Strobel was the artist in residency at Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts and has received commissions from the Barlow Endowment, the Ladyslipper Ensemble, and the Missouri Quintet among many others.  The often triumphant “Symphony No. 2” was written by Sibelius in 1901 and is commonly interpreted as a celebration of the beauty of the Finnish countryside.
