Hailing from Lyons, CO, the 89s would like you to know that they are *not* an 80’s tribute band. Rather, they play well crafted original music, filtered through a long, scratchy lens of americana, indie rock and brit-pop.
The band consists of Eben Grace on guitar and vocals, Giselle Collazo on vocals and percussion, Joe Mazza on guitar and vocals, Brian Schey on bass and vocals, Eric Moon on keyboards and vocals, and Colin Mahoney on drums. They play Eben’s songs, whose influences range from Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, Dylan, the Beatles to pretty much any other nice song that ever wiggled into his brain.
The 89s shows are uplifting and open-hearted and will have you dancing and listening at the same time.
